The Directors, Staff and Volunteers of Mercy Teams International were so encouraged by the kindness, generosity and practical support given towards the Christmas Shoebox appeal. From toy cars and trinkets, to underwear and stationery sets, 1000 Christmas Shoeboxes were stuffed full of goodies and have gone out to children-at-risk in Cambodia, displaced children on the Thai-Burma Border and slum dwellers in Myanmar.  The children come from families that live below the poverty line. They are often in rags with bare feet and suffering either abuse or neglect.

1000 carefully selected children will benefit from the gifts that have been lovingly donated, sorted, gift wrapped and shipped.

Boxes are set to be distributed over the Christmas season together with tracts where possible and handed out by staff and church members in each of the SE-Asian countries as a practical gesture of Christ’s love for these children.
