TeenStreet Uruguay 2009

TeenStreet Uruguay took place this year from 14-24 January in
Montevideo, Uruguay. The theme for the week was "Contagioso"
(Contagious), and Dan and Susie Potter challenged teens to let Jesus
into their minds, bodies and spirits and be contagious for Christ in
their sphere of life.

To help the teens learn about their style of worship, TeenStreet offered
times to jump and shout for joy, draw, paint, pray, sit quietly, etc.
Joselyn, 13, from Uruguay says, "I usually delight myself in God by
writing songs. It is always from me to Him. Not long ago God give me a
song just for me, I wrote it down and shared it with my friend."

One night Dan Potter was very clear; "I urge you to make a decision
now," he said. "You need to decide if you want to be a friend of Jesus
or go you own way." He then invited those who wanted to make a choice to
leave the room and meet their leaders outside to pray. About one third
of the participants left for prayer.

Praise God that these teens were touched by God at TeenStreet Uruguay.
Pray that it will have a lasting impact and that they will bring Jesus
with them into their homes and schools.

TeenStreet Uruguay se llevó a cabo este año desde el 14 al 24 de Enero en Montevideo, Uruguay. El tema para la semana fue “Contagioso”, y Dan y Suzie Potter desafiaron a los adolescentes a dejar que Jesús tome sus mentes, cuerpos y espíritus para ser contagiosos por Cristo en la esfera de sus vidas.

Para que los participantes descubran el estilo de adoración de cada uno, TeenStreet les ofreció momentos para saltar y gritar de gozo, pintar, orar, sentarse en silencio, etc. Joselyn (13) de Uruguay comentó: “Generalmente me deleito en Dios escribiendo canciones. Es siempre de mí hacia Él. No hace mucho, Dios me dio una canción para mí, la escribí y la compartí con una amiga.”

Una noche, Dan Potter fue muy claro al decir: “Les ruego que tomen una decisión. Tienes que decidir si quieres ser amigo de Jesús o seguir tu propio camino.” Luego invitó a los que habían decidido por Jesús salir del salón y encontrarse afuera con un líder con quien orar. Alrededor de un tercio de los participantes salio para orar.

Alaba a Dios porque estos adolescentes fueron tocados por Dios en TeenStreet Uruguay. Ora para que el impacto producido en sus vidas sea duradero y que puedan llevar a Jesús con ellos a sus hogares y escuelas.
