On May 9, Run 4 The World races will take place in the UK, Canada, Singapore and Northern Ireland. The events, organised by SportsLink International, help raise awareness of OM ministries, particularly small projects that may be overlooked because of size and location. The three projects chosen for R4TW 2009 are AIDS Link Nepal, Tariro Day Care Centre in Zimbabwe and SportsLink camps worldwide. In addition, each local run can request to receive up to 20 percent of the net local donations to support a local charity.

Currently, there are 13 countries signed up to organise a R4TW event in 2009. In the past this event has created many opportunities for workers to connect with their communities, draw different groups together and create awareness of international projects and needs. It can also be a catalyst for local outreach and funding for ministry. In 2008 runs ranged from 130 participants in the UK to 10 participants in Turkey.

Please pray for those organizing these events. Pray that God will use R4TW to raise awareness and finances for OM ministries. Pray that God will draw more to Himself through this outreach. For more information visit the website at www.r4tw.org.
