Mission-net 2009

OM, along with 155 other European mission organisations, was represented during the first-ever mission-net event, a European Youth Mission Congress commissioned by the European Evangelical Alliance and the European Missionary Alliance. The congress took place 8 – 13 April 2009 in Oldenburg, Germany.

About 2,600 young Europeans participated in five intense days of Bible study, worship, prayer seminars and workshops over the Easter weekend. They were challenged to discover what God is doing in Europe and the rest of the world and consider their place in building the Kingdom. Mission-net presented mission movements around the world and provided a network of opportunities, both locally, nationally and internationally. Thirty-five OM workers were available throughout the week to present OM.

George Verwer spoke at the prayer night on Easter Saturday. His passion for the world and for prayer impacted many of the participants, and the MC commented that if we would pray as George speaks, we would pray the whole day! Alongside George Verwer, Jason Mandryk, co-author of “Operation World”, also spoke that evening.

Get excited about the next mission-net, which will take place 28 December 2011 – 2 January 2012. The location is still to be determined. Please pray that God will move mightily in the young participants’ lives and help them realize His purposes for them.

MISSION-NET 2009 – Internacional
OM, junto a otras 155 organizaciones misioneras europeas, estuvo representada en el primer evento de Mission-Net, un Congreso Misionero Juvenil Europeo llevado a cabo por la Alianza Evangélica Europea y la Alianza Misionera Europea. El congreso se realizó del 8 al 13 de Abril de 2009 en Oldenburg, Alemania.

Cerca de 2600 jóvenes europeos participaron en cinco días intensos de estudio bíblico, adoración, seminarios de oración y talleres durante la semana de pascua. Fueron desafiados a descubrir lo que Dios está haciendo en Europa y el resto del mundo y a considerar cuál será su lugar en el establecimiento del Reino. Mission-Net presentó movimientos misioneros alrededor del mundo y proveyó una red de trabajo para ofrecer oportunidades locales, nacionales e internacionales. Treinta y cinco obreros de OM estuvieron presentes durante la semana para representar nuestro movimiento.

George Verwer tomó la palabra durante la noche de oración el sábado de pascua. Su pasión por el mundo y por la oración impactó a muchos participantes, el coordinador de la reunión comentó que si orásemos como lo hace George, ¡oraríamos el día entero! Junto a George Verwer, Jason Mandryk, coautor de “Operación Mundo” también compartió esa noche.

Prepárate para la próxima Mission-Net que se realizará del 28 de Diciembre de 2011 al 2 de Enero de 2012. El lugar será confirmado luego. Por favor ora para que Dios se mueva poderosamente en las vidas de los jóvenes participantes y los ayude a darse cuenta cuál es el propósito de Dios para ellos.
