OM Peru completed their autumn medical mission outreach. Medical personnel from the USA travelled to Chiclayo, Peru and treated over 800 patients in the medical clinic and over 750 patients in the eyeglass clinic.

Manuel was a 12-year-old Peruvian boy who needed glasses to read. After receiving his glasses, he was handed a Bible to read to test his new prescription. He randomly opened and started reading. Becky, a volunteer working with Manuel, said, “That’s great you can read with these glasses, they’re yours.” Manuel responded, “I want that…” Becky thought he was referring to his glasses and reassured him the glasses were his. Manuel was talking about the Bible. He had opened to Isaiah 40:31 and wanted to continue reading about “the wings and eagles.” Manuel became a Christian that day.

God greatly blessed the endeavours of the medical staff and OM Peru. During the outreach, there were about 200 confessions of faith. Please keep our new Christian brothers and sisters in your prayers.
