Cage Football and the Manga Bible

Already a hit in large cities like Rotterdam and The Hague, Cage Football is becoming known in smaller towns in the Netherlands too.

Players compete one on one in a small cage of 5 metres diameter. Scoring is not what it is all about, but rather hitting the ball through the legs of the opponent while maintaining control – the ultimate victory!

In April, Ronald (OM) will be with cage (and ball) at Bleiswijk High School to connect with young people. It was not always easy during the winter months to meet youth or parents on the streets, but slowly people are getting to know Ronald and some even pop-in for a soda or tea.

Since March 2009, Ronald has been employed as youth worker of Driehoek Evangelical Church in Lansingerland. Every week, young people meet to study from the Manga Bible (typical Japanese style of drawing that appeals to the youth), share a meal together and hang out.

Preparations for their 3rd Youth Alpha are well underway, and although there are some hiccups, the team meets after the spring break to plan the way ahead.
