First steps for women in Bangladesh

Graduation was an exciting time for the team, and another milestone in the effort to equip the growing church in Bangladesh. For the last three months, nine young believing women have been part of a residential discipleship programme. In the morning they learnt computer skills, which will help them find future employment, and then in the afternoon and evening they studied and memorised God’s Word.

A few of the women’s faith was very shaky when they arrived, but all of the women finished with an assurance of faith and were equipped to teach and build up the church in their home areas. This is the first time the team has run such a programme solely for women. On graduation day, the women shared their testimonies about how God had worked in their lives and their vision to use the training to change others’ lives.

Please pray for these nine women as they go back to their homes to teach and build up the church in their local areas. Pray also that more will be discipled in their faith so that they too can encourage and build up the church.
