It is to this area that God called Günter (Austrian) and Gunni (Swedish) Klement over 23 years ago.
In the Zwettl area alone, 1-3 young drug addicts commit suicide each year. So Günter took training in drug addiction counselling, and over the years has been able to help some youth come out of addiction, several of whom have come to faith in Christ.
Today there is a small church of 25 adults, plus children and teenagers, and throughout the year, women's meetings, Bible study for interested non-believers and children's camps are organised.
The Gmund/Zwettl area has a population of over 82,700 people, and the Klements, living in Gmund, have a friendship circle of 800-900 people – there is room for more workers!
They joined the OM Austria team in January 2009, and continue to work in this very needy area. If you have a heart for young people and would like to help them develop this church plant, please contact This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
