You are Precious

The prayer meeting was too much for Tanya. They had been praying about women who had gone through abortion, human trafficking and other traumas. As she went out, she felt God say to her, “You better get used to this because this is where I want to use you.”

Tanya came to Missions Discipleship Training (MDT) believing that she knew exactly what God had for her- and that was sports ministry. But after that prayer meeting she started to have a passion for ministry to hurting women. Soon MDT had an outreach in inner-city Pretoria to sex workers. The group prepared cards for the women with special messages to show them God’s love.

As Tanya went out with her group the first day, they came across one of the sex workers standing on the street. The girls asked her name, and she said, “I am Precious.” They were amazed and said they had a card just for her with the message: “You are precious.”

After that experience, Tanya felt that God was calling her to Thailand, but until then she believes God wants to use her in Pretoria to prepare her for future ministry.
