Latinos at work in India

The 28th of June was a day much anticipated by five OM Costa Rican staff members—Marcony, Gerardo, Yamilett, Mariana and Yajaira. After prayer, finance raising and preparation for visas and plane tickets, the day finally arrived for the five to leave on a one-month exposure programme to India.

For all of them, this was the first time in India; for some, it was the first time out of Latin America. Part of the work they are doing there is with children in the lowest caste within India’s society system. They are also volunteering in clinics that reach out to people living with HIV and AIDS, seeing India’s greatest needs amongst the poor, sick, forgotten and oppressed.

Please join us in prayer for the five Costa Ricans and the team of Mexicans they joined. OM Costa Rica’s hope is for these five to catch the vision for the countries of the world and come back with a great desire to see more Latin Americans go out.

LATINOS TRABAJANDO EN INDIA – Costa Rica
El 28 de Junio fue el día más esperado para cinco miembros de OM Costa Rica: Marcony, Gerardo, Yamillet, Mariana y Yajaira. Luego de orar, levantar finanzas y preparativos para las visas y los boletos de avión, el día señalado finalmente llegó y los cinco salieron para un programa de exposición de un mes en India.

Para todo ellos esta es la primera vez que visitan India y, para algunos de ellos, es la primera vez que salen de Latinoamérica. Parte del trabajo que están realizando allá se desarrolla entre niños de la casta más baja del sistema social indio. También realizan trabajo voluntario en clínicas que atienden a afectados por el VIH/SIDA, lo cual los expone a percibir las mayores necesidades entre los pobres, enfermos, olvidados y oprimidos de India.

Por favor ora con nosotros por estos cinco costarricenses, y por el equipo mexicano al que se unieron. OM Costa Rica espera que estos cinco miembros suyos tomen la visión por los países del mundo y vuelvan con un gran deseo de ver más latinos saliendo al campo.
