"Every morning, the team would round up children relaxing on the beach for an hour and a half of songs, games, crafts and a Bible story," reports Micah. "Around 20 children came each day, including four children from the previous year. But even more parents, grandparents and older siblings would gather on the sidelines, curious to discover what the programme was all about. Outreaches such as these are often met with much skepticism in Montenegro, but the programme was warmly welcomed and the team received great feedback from the kids and their relatives."
One family brought their three children every day, and on the last day asked each team member to sign the Bibles they had received as presents. Another young woman brought her niece to the programme, and was curious to know why the team would take time to put on such a programme for children.
"We were able to share with her how great God’s love is, and that we see it as an honour to be able to share that love with others, including children," beams Micah. "Though it is impossible to know the long-term results of such a programme, the joy that the team was able to bring into the lives of the children in just eight days is an indication of the greater joy that these children will hopefully find one day in Christ alone."
