OM Russia hosted a special short term outreach during the Russian Orthodox Christmastime from 3-20 January in the Far East of Russia.  The outreach was specially designed for participants from the southern hemisphere, who have summer holidays during that time, and in order to celebrate the Russian Orthodox Christmas. Three Australians, a Korean woman and a Swiss man joined with OM Russia in Ussurisk and Blagoveshensk.  In Ussurisk, the team worked together with a local pastor and in practical work. They then ministered in Blagoveshensk for five days, where they joined the 15th anniversary of the local church.

Sonja, an OM Russia team member, commented: “In many ways this is an exciting pioneer outreach. We had some set backs though, since many Russian airlines cancelled their flights during the New Year holidays and the air fares got more expensive than planned."  Pray for a lasting impact from this outreach.
