The team working to help those affected by the Pakistan earthquake insisted on spending Christmas with the people they are helping.  On December 24, 25 and 26, team members went to three different places to share in a special Christmas-cake-cutting ceremony to celebrate the birth of Jesus.

One team member explained, "In each place we were soon surrounded by a crowd of 300 people and we celebrate the birth of Isa al Masih (Jesus).  A team member prayed and shared that Jesus taught us to 'rejoice with those who rejoice and mourn with those who mourn'.  We told them, 'As we have shared in your sorrows after the earthquake and your joy at the Muslim Eid festival, so we want to let you take part in our joy'."

In Pakistan most people visit their parental home for special religious festivals. The people appreciated the team for sacrificing their family time and sharing the joy of Christmas with them.
