Cebu, Philippines :: A street kid drinks a glass of milk in the dinner room.
Throughout the ship’s visit to Cebu, crewmembers made friends with the street kids who gathered in a local park. So many friendships were formed that a special event was created on the ship for the children. The Hope Theatre hosted 181 very excited youngsters for a performance of The Greatest Treasure, a pirate story which teaches that the greatest treasure we can discover is the Bible. Marly, a 15 year old girl, said: “It was my first time on a ship. It was really exciting. I liked the message of The Greatest Treasure.” The children also enjoyed a meal of noodles in the ship’s dining room. “I enjoyed meeting the people from Logos Hope,” added Marly. “I would like the ship to come to Cebu again one day.”
