Twenty-four hours a day, three days a week—Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday— workers in North Africa are challenging one another to cover their countries in prayer.

Nearly two years ago Kathryn*, a worker living in North Africa, launched a prayer network. What began as a way to connect workers scattered across the region quickly evolved into a prayer movement. The idea sparked a weekly bulletin encouraging a day of prayer for cities, friends and neighbours. Today, this movement has become a community.

“To know you are bigger than your team, your city, anything that counters that feeling of isolation, is significant,” says Kathryn.

Periodic prayer weekends developed out of this community spirit, inspiring the current challenge of the 24/3 prayer. For Kathryn, prayer doesn’t mean sitting in a circle with bowed heads, but also reading Scripture, worshiping and spending time with God.

Please join the workers in praying 24/3 for North Africa!

“In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly.” – Psalm 5:3 (NIV)
