Many languages in one team

Even though the official language of the OM Moldova team is Romanian, lots of English is spoken around the OM centre in Chisinau these days. Native English-speaking team members hold English classes several times a week for Moldovans and a Brazilian on the team.  Victor, a Moldovan national who plans to join an OM team in the Middle East and is a fluent English speaker, is also teaching English to his fellow Moldovans. Wednesdays are English days on the team and everyone is encouraged to speak English in their daily activities. This is an important part of the training for the Moldovans, many of whom are planning for future involvement in cross-cultural missions.

Meanwhile, new team members from the US, Canada, and Switzerland are forging ahead with their Romanian studies. And those who know Romanian and English already are studying Russian, another language commonly used in the streets of Chisinau and the villages of Moldova. Amongst the 36 OM Moldovan team members, seven languages are represented (Romanian, English, Dutch, Hungarian, Brazilian, Indonesian, and Swiss German.) Please pray for everyone who is involved in language learning on the OM Moldova team.
