Seventy one countries participated in the Commonwealth Games which were held in Melbourne, Australia March 15 – 26. As thousands of athletes and thousands more supporters arrived in Australia for the games, OM Australia welcomed a team who wanted to take advantage of the event to tell many of the love of Jesus.

Face painting, tracting, prayer walks, soup kitchens, friendship evangelism, participation with Church outreach initiatives and ministry on trains - all opened doors to countless opportunities to share about Christ. OM partnered with other groups under the banner of Quest. At the concluding celebration dinner, participants shared their stories. Five people had prayed specifically to give their lives to Christ. Many more happily received the tailor-made tracts and children’s Gospel comic. The team shared how they have been changed becoming more aware of the importance to let friends and family know the truth.  They are heading home with a renewed zeal.  Gold medals are celebrated – but new lives in Christ are far more valuable than the most fiercely contested sports prize.
