Lasting 13 days, the voyage from Guyana to the Canary Islands will bring Logos II across the Atlantic. That time will hardly be a break for the ship’s company though. Life in many of the onboard work departments continues as normal, with staff in the galley still needing to serve three meals a day, the cleaning team scrubbing the vessel’s interior and the deck department keeping the ship on course. While the book fair staff aren’t welcoming any visitors, they will do inventories and stock counts in the holds. The whole ship’s company will also gather together for a time cultural orientation to the coming destinations. And after all that, well, there are still letters to write home to friends and family – to be sent upon arrival in Las Palmas!
