Praying for the new students who recently joined OM Russias Discipleship Centre for the one-year training programme in Novosibirsk, Siberia.
The new academic year has started at OM Russia's Discipleship Centre. The first intensive week of study for the 22 new students—an 83 per cent increase from last year—included an overview of Genesis, how to run a small group Bible study and how to work with people with addictions, among other things.

These students come from all over Siberia and each have a unique and fascinating story.

One student, Dima, comes from a minority Siberian people group, the population of which numbers only 12,000 and has virtually no Christian witness.

Other students, Rustam and Lena, come from a small church made up of deaf people. Rustam is translating all of the lectures into Russian sign language for Lena.

Sergei was a drug addict. Since being set free by Christ, he has been working with other drug addicts and living in the rehab centre with them.

Vera has been a Christian for several years. This spring she graduated from the highly prestigious Novosibirsk Music Academy, where she specialised in the cello.

Please pray that over the next six months, God would weave these different people into a community that serves one another. Pray that each will receive direction and skills for future ministry.
