Saturday, 19 February marked one year that Logos Hope sailed into ministry from Koege, Denmark. Personnel on board the Logos Hope had a time together where a number of those still on board recounted some of their experiences through the project phases up to the sailing. The clear message was God’s faithfulness in protection and provision of all that was needed to do the work.

In this first year, more than 500,000 people have visited the ship in 23 ports and 18 countries. In Montego Bay alone, the previous port, some 14,000 school children attend a Gospel presentation in the ‘Hope Theatre’. More than one million books were sold during the first year, of which 400,000 were Christian books and Bibles.

Gian Walser, Director of Logos Hope, who was involved in the project from its early days said: “We remember that one year ago it was through God’s hand that we were able to sail. We are thankful for the Logos Hope and we praise him for this first year of ministry. We have seen his faithfulness in the past and we trust God that he will lead us through the challenges and opportunities ahead of us.”

Rejoice with us in God’s faithfulness over this first year and continue to pray for fruitful ministry of Logos Hope in the future. Please also pray for wisdom and discernment in the complex process of decommissioning Doulos and selling the vessel.
